Salix Fine Framing

My name is Ashley Jackson, I established my picture framing business to provide high-quality, conservation-led framing for artwork, photographs, memorabilia and collectables. Every project is approached with the aim of preserving and presenting each item to the highest possible standard, using professional techniques and museum-quality materials wherever appropriate. I take pride in offering a personal service, taking the time to understand each customer's requirements and advising on the most suitable framing options for both appearance and long-term preservation. I work from my dedicated workshop in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, where customers are welcome to visit by appointment to discuss their framing requirements and view framing options in person. My background combines over 30 years' experience in IT and project management with an increasing focus on museums, heritage and collections care. I volunteer with the Natural History Museum, work as a Gallery Assistant at Mansfield Museum, and serve as a Trustee of the British Ornithologists' Club. These roles have strengthened my understanding of conservation principles, careful object handling and the importance of preserving items of both financial and sentimental value. Whether framing a family photograph, an original painting or a treasured keepsake, my aim is always to provide craftsmanship, attention to detail and a service that customers can trust.
