About ABM Pest Control
I am a sole trader from Mansfield with 28 years' experience in solving pest related issues for both domestic and commercial clients. Local prices for local residents. We charge £65.00 for any wasp nest up to the size of a large black bin bag size, and £85.00 for any size thereafter with a significant reduction in price for any further nests treated at the same time and at the same property. All of our wasp jobs are guaranteed to be complete on the first visit. Should any other visits be required to the treated nests within 1 month of original treatment, there will be no charge. We also offer OAPs a £10.00 discount off any pest control visit that we carry out for you. We treat all pests at fixed prices per visit / treatment. (For discounts OAPs should mention DERBYSHIRE TRUSTED TRADER). We are also members of the NPTA, Nottingham Pest Technicians Association, also being a director of the Trade Body.

For many years we have had a problem with a colony of honey bees living in our chimney, and so as we are planning to sell our house in the next three years or so, we thought that they would present a problem for potential buyers. We contacted Martyn at ABM, who came within a couple of days, he took some photos of the roof area and clearly explained what work needed to be carried out, and the cost. We then agreed a date for the removal in early spring when the bees are most dormant. The scaffolding was erected on 28th March, and the following day Martyn and Andy came and carried out the removal process. The work was completed to a high standard, and they even did some repairs to the top of the chimney to ensure that it was sealed off from further penetration going forwards. I would therefore give my recommendation to anyone requiring bee removal. A huge thank you to both Martyn and Andy.
Martyn is a lovely man for whom nothing is too much trouble. I was very worried about a surveyor's report stating I had a pest infestation in my three loft spaces. He came on the same day that I telephoned him and was quickly able to identify that the problem was an old one and not an on going issue. Nevertheless he was anxious to find where the rodents were gaining entry to stop the problem from reoccurring. This involved him eventually going into my neighbours garden to find the entry hole which has now been sealed. As he was leaving he also set a mole trap to deal with a mound that had suddenly appeared in my garden. I was highly impressed with Martyn's service and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Martyn provided us with a first class service in removing a swarm of honey bees that had taken up residence in our exterior wall cavity after swarming. Martyn was polite, professional and very knowledgeable and passionate about bees. Thankfully he was able to collect nearly all the bees and their queen, and rehome them elsewhere. A thoroughly nice chap who takes pride in his work. I can recommend him without hesitation.

I cannot rate Martin's work too highly. He came out on a Saturday morning very promptly and kept me informed about his arrival. He went over and above checking in on Sunday to see if the rat had been caught. He checked my loft and went over and above ensuring that I had peace of mind. As a result of his work, the letting agency requested his business card. Good value, professional and highly recommended.

Highly impressed with the level of service provided by Martyn. We had a letter from Mansfield District Council quoting the 'Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014' due to our neighbour complaining about the noise from birds making a nest under our roof eves. When we contacted Martyn he responded the same day and came round the next day to do a survey and produce a really helpful report. The charge was also extremely reasonable. He will be returning in September to ensure we don't have a repeat performance next year. We are extremely satisfied, and relieved customers and would have no hesitation in highly recommending ABM Pest Control.
I contacted Martin to help my sister with a possible case of bedbugs. She lives in the Nottingham area. He visited the next day to investigate, many other traders couldn't visit until the week after and even though there wasn't an infestation, he still did a thorough job searching and gave me loads of information and advice on how to tackle the situation she was in. I needed help with feral pigeons under our solar panels. Martyn was extremely helpful; recommended proofing work which was duly carried out in a prompt and efficient manner. He and his co-worker were clean, tidy and a pleasure to have on site. Wonderful job.
We had lived with honey bees in our chimney without them being a problem for over 20 years but the time came where we needed to have them removed. Martyn and his partner worked incredibly hard to clear out our chimney, which was pretty much full of various ages of honey comb, from hearth to chimney stack. Martyn prefers to try and save the colony but in this instance it wasn't possible. It was dirty, sticky and high work. They took away buckets and buckets of honey comb and debris from our chimney and left the chimney sealed ready for our impending building work. I highly recommend AMB Pest Control.
Martin was contacted by my landlord's estate agent about a huge wasp nest in my loft space. Martin arrived the very next day to remove the wasp nest. Martin was very polite and very professional in carrying out the job in hand.
