We have used Dakins Electrical services for many years and for many different jobs and always found them to be very reliable, skilled and capable. They have always done good work for us and we know we can rely on them to do a good job efficiently and effectively. A family business, they are always pleasant and friendly and we are glad that we found them.
Lost power to several sockets and Pete advised he would come early afternoon. Phoned mid-afternoon to advise he was running late but would attend. Arrived as promised and systematically checked all sockets until fault identified and rectified. Very thorough and explained what he was doing at each stage. Asked us to update him the next day as to whether everything was still working. Charged a very fair price and would highly recommend this company.
Asked Pete to come and fix an issue with the lights in the bedroom and bathroom and install new light fittings. Found him to be very polite and professional, the job was completed in good time and to a good standard. Very pleased with my new lights and cannot recommend him enough.
The safety switch to my electric shower burnt while taking a shower. Pete was able to come and fix the issue the same day. He showed me what the issue was and what he was going to do to fix the issue. He charged a fair price and I am happy with his work.

Came within 15 mins of calling on a Friday Evening. My cooker was tripping the RCD. Electrics checked. Fault appears to be the actual cooker and an appliance engineer was recommended. Would definitely use this firm in future. Highly recommended.

I have used Pete before at another property and been thoroughly satisfied with the service he provides. For a recent property purchase, I sought Dakin Services again for an EICR report and quote. Pete managed to accommodate our schedule, then promptly provided the report and advice for the remedial works required. I'm in the middle of selling my house and needed an electrical certificate for the new buyers. I contacted Pete and asked him to carry out the test on the electrical supply. Pete turned up at the time he said he was going to be at the property for. He was very knowledgeable and did a thorough job. Pete is a really nice guy and I would definitely recommend and use Dakin Electrical again.
I needed an EV charger at short notice and at a reasonable price. I found the best value was by sourcing and buying the charger myself. I searched for quotes and Dakin Electrical provided the best quote for the installation. They did the job quickly and neatly and I am delighted with the result.

He was able to carry out an onsite visit that fitted with our schedule when the RICS surveyor was given access and this made for a seamless experience for the vendor too. He provided the report in good time and explained his findings clearly so that I could understand them. Our electric shower needed replacing quickly and we needed advice on what wattage the cabling would allow. We rang Dakin Electrical in the morning and the gentleman said he would call in on his way home in the afternoon. He phoned when he was 15 mins away to let us know when he'd be there. He advised us on the cabling and the appropriate shower to install and wouldn't accept any money. We were extremely impressed that this trader went out of his way to give us advice for free and we would certainly recommend this trusted trader to anyone out there. We will certainly use this company again should the need arise and will tell our friends and family about them. What a lovely man!

Pete also supported me for months after when I was battling to get my money back from the trader that originally worked on the property.
