Really pleased with the service we received from Jay. Very professional. Very friendly and easy to deal with. We needed some work doing in a short time frame. He was extremely helpful and dealt with our job, along with his colleague, super quick. Wouldn't hesitate to call him again. A really good guy.
Jay's team did a really good job on a small damp patch in the lounge. They worked efficiently and tidied up afterwards. The price was very fair. I would recommend Jay and his team.
Had some damp issues with the walls at ground level on the house and asked Jay to have a look. Came up with a simple and effective solution. He explained in detail what they were doing so I understood what I was getting. The work was carried out to a very high standard and his team have left the place very clean. Jay's communication was really good. He responded in a timely fashion and kept me informed of timescales and start dates etc. Overall I've been very satisfied and would recommend.
Jay did an excellent job of suggesting solutions to dampness in our offshore utility room. He lined the walls with thermal plasterboard and skimmed over - the finish was excellent and he sorted a load of little other problems as well. The results are great! He was a very cheerful guy to have around.
We have a very tall Edwardian house with the external woodwork and window frame badly in need of repair. He organised the scaffolding and did an excellent repair and redecoration job that was sensitive to the character of the house. We discovered additional problems with loose chimney pots, and he sorted out the additional scaffolding and re-mortaring. We have great confidence in his workmanship and ability to sort out the tricky problems that older houses present.
I had a new kitchen fitted; which included damp treating and plastering the kitchen walls; and then a new kitchen being fitted. The plaster is cracked on one wall and is damp again. I have had to pay for another company to repair the walls. I have had to remove the washing machine; and found that the walls behind the washing machine had not been plastered; and the water pipes that connect the washing machine to the water taps and trapped behind the new kitchen cupboard and inaccessible. The washing machine started to leak and I was unable to move the washing machine because I couldn't disconnect the pipes from the water. I had to employ an emergency plumber; and he has had to cut a hole in the side of the cupboard to access the pipes. The quality of the fitting is poor; and the builder wouldn't come and look at the problem; he put the phone down. I have spent nearly pound3000 on a new kitchen; and I was expecting a better fitting from the company I used. I found the company on trusted trader. I have photographs of the poor workmanship.

Outstanding services provided by Jay. We had a building issue which needed to be addressed within a tight deadline. Jay thoroughly assessed and carried out the remedial work to a very high standard and well within the deadline. Jay boarded and plastered the ceiling then skimmed the walls. He then painted the whole room. He has done an amazing job. Such a lovely bloke and we will be having him back soon for more jobs. We would highly recommend him to anyone.
Jay is brilliant. He did a great job for us for a very fair price. He plastered a room and knocked out and retiled a fireplace beautifully. He was prompt and kept in touch. I chose Jay at JR Plastering and Property Services as he had so many good reviews on the Trusted Trader site and this proved an excellent choice. Jay visited at short notice today to undertake emergency work on a collapsed ceiling, including bringing a colleague to also sort the roofing issue, which was integral to getting the job done urgently. As soon as Jay identified the issue it was clear he had the expertise and knowledge to properly resolve what had been an ongoing problem for the previous 5 months. Due to this being an emergency situation, with a large hole in my ceiling letting in water still, I was relieved that Jay was prepared to undertake the work that same day and he returned after his existing job, not leaving until late into the evening when he had done everything to resolve the problem and tidy up the work. As I'm asthmatic I was also grateful for Jay's care in removing dust and debris himself whilst working to a high standard of care to minimise the unavoidable mess. If you have need for plastering work, regardless of how difficult or complex, I honestly can't recommend Jay enough.
Efficient, professional and charged a very fair price for soil stack replacement. Took old one away according to regulations.
I required a utility room and a kitchen wall damp proofing, which required the kitchen units being replaced. Jay carried out the damp proofing and plastering and also project managed the kitchen fitting. He has been very professional throughout the project . Nothing has been too much hassle for him and everything has been carried out to a very high standard. I would highly recommend him to anybody requiring not just plastering but also any other household tasks.
Not our cheapest quote, but were very happy that we chose him, to repair - a collapsed ceiling, some damaged plasterwork; including some painting and damp problems; including replacing skirting boards. Work was all done to the highest standard - explained in full, and carried out with little fuss, he even went the extra mile to ensure the skirting boards, old Victorian ones were as close a match as possible. No hesitation in recommending Jay, and will certainly call on him again if we need work in the future. Get some decaf coffee in - it'll be well worth it.
Jay did the most amazing job removing a massive sticky mess from the roof space above a dormer window. It was a really tricky job but he did it brilliantly. Everything left neat and tidy - and all done with a smile. Communication was fantastic from start to finish and the price was more than reasonable. I'm so glad to have found him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. A man of his word.
We live in a chalet bungalow and wanted a big bedroom and two walk in wardrobes insulated. Jay did this and completely re-plastered the bedroom to a high standard. He then decorated and completed the job adding curtain rails and wardrobe hanging rails. I would recommend Jay for this type of work. He has a friendly disposition and is very helpful.
Plastered a full 4mx3m room. Over boarded ceiling, filled and skimmed walls. Excellent communication, job completed very quickly to a high standard. Friendly and tidy workers. Highly recommended and will use again for sure.
Jay plastered a large bedroom and an arched doorway and I'm highly delighted with the end product -his workmanship is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for him, he keeps in regular contact prior to starting the work and gets the job done without any fuss. He is a very pleasant person who you feel comfortable having in your home and his pricing is very reasonable. What more could you ask for excellent workmanship, a fair price and a true professional in all aspects.
Jay did a huge amount of work in our home. He blocked up our fireplace, removed old piping from an obsolete back boiler, squared off our irregular shape hearth, re-plaster. He redecorated our front room, papering and painted. Took out our old door frames and squared and plastered the opening. He hung two new doors in the kitchen and re-plastered walls where we'd had rewiring done. He went over and above, taking into account our thoughts and ideas as the job progressed, and talked through options. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
I'd very happily recommend Jay's services. When I enquired about getting a fireplace bricked up and plastered, he went out of his way to fit me in despite his busy schedule. He explained clearly what the job would involve and got it all sorted very quickly and to a high standard.

Jay's work is excellent, he was originally just due to do plastering and damp proofing all for a good price and was great at working around our tight timescale. He ended up also laying laminate flooring and screed, kitchen tiling, fitting doors, skirting and boxing - all for a good price. He also gave great advice for other works. Could not recommend more highly!
Jay did a brilliant job on some exterior maintenance and re-rendering at my property. His attention to detail is really good and he doesn't stop until the job is done to high standards. Communication is great and he kept in touch throughout unavoidable de lays due to the weather. I have already booked him for some internal works and will definitely use him when I want to decorate next year. Fitted me a Howdens kitchen. Undertook all joinery, plastering, wall tilling and decorations. Excellent workmanship on all accounts. He sorted all electrical/plumbing associated with installation through trade contacts. Case of a rare breed excellent workmanship in many trades. Jay has done a full skim in our living and dinning room which he has done a brilliant job on! Nothing was too much trouble for him to do a few added extras, boxing in pipes and is coming back to fit the coving as well. Really reasonably priced and really reliable and friendly! Jay completed dry zone damp injection, repointing and applied brick guard to my property. He also agreed to replace some drain pipes and guttering whilst here, at a very reasonable price. Jay plaster boarded and skimmed over two aertex ceilings for us. He did an excellent job and cleaned up well afterwards. He was very professional, friendly and reliable. We were particularly pleased that he kept us informed about what was happening in the lead up to the job and as the work progressed.
Jay went out of his way to get the job skimming bedroom walls done even though he was very busy and he kept us informed of any changes to the schedule. He is a neat and tidy worker and made a good job, especially the fiddly corners. A nice guy and cat friendly so we will be asking him back to do further jobs for us.
Jay came promptly to assess a leak in our lounge ceiling caused by a fault in the roof tiling. He arranged for this to be repaired and then returned to replace the ceiling, skim and repaint.
