*Customer feedback*I called the above Co which I found on your page as I needed help with my drains. A soak away did not soak away very effectively and water did not go into another drain but splashed against the wall making it damp. The Engineer hosed the soak away and moved the pipe so that it went into the drain. He said it would be 165 pounds plus VAT which I agreed to. It took him a very short time to do the two small jobs and at the time I thought his costing a little steep especially for moving the pipe which took a matter of minutes however if it solved both problems then I was happy to cross them off my list. After he had gone I discovered that because of how he has moved the pipe I can no longer access my outdoor tap, hence another problem has been created. They ignored my first email asking that he pop by and rectify the problem and after chasing suggest that I would need to pay another fee for him to move the pipe again!*Traders reply* Our engineer attended site on Tuesday 8th May to a blocked storm drain at the front of the property of Ms X. The engineer intended to jet towards a soakaway which could have been quite time consuming. No pipe connections or extra lengths of pipe were available on his van on the day in question and at that time, we are confident that the engineer provided the best service and completed his job as best as he could on that day. When the job was booked in and the type of job it was, it would be very hard to predict that pipes would be needed. At the time, the customer was happy and signed the invoice and allowed our engineer to leave site. She did not express any dissatisfaction at the work which had been performed. We have no record of any emails received after our engineer's visit. If we were to attend site again for a separate job, this would, of course, be chargeable.
Excellent service, great job unblocking our drain and no hidden extras! No hesitation in recommending this firm.
A shared drain was blocked and not realising that Yorkshire Water had responsibility for this I called out Clearfirst. The engineer spent 2 hours trying to unblock the drain by jetting without success and said that a further quote would be sent for digging up the drain, charging me 150 pounds for the work already done, which I paid, presuming that what he had said was correct. I then found out that Yorkshire Water would do the job for free and within an hour they unlocked the drain by jetting, so need for the extra work for which Clearfirst had quoted me another 1000 pounds. I have tried to get the 150 pounds back from Clearfirst but they are adamant that I should pay for the time and effort they spent, regardless to the fact that the job was not complete and was done easily by someone else for free without the extra work needed.
