Took a while to get started, we are in unprecedented times, but definitely worth the wait. Once they started, the work was thorough and carried on even on Saturdays in the rain. All the workers were friendly, polite, so hardworking, and aware of social distancing so it felt very safe. Our driveway looks lovely and we even got some bonus turf for our green bits. Phil obviously takes pride in doing a good job and it shows in the finished product. Highly recommended

Our Project included the removal of an old shed and some of our hawthorn hedge to allow for the installation of new fencing and a base and patio area for our new Summerhouse. All the work was undertaken in a very professional, efficient and tidy manner and Phil and his Team kept us up-to-date with progress. We would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to employ the services of a reputable Contractor for any building/landscaping work. They did an incredible job!

Although the job was fairly modest in scale Phil and Richard proved themselves professional, personable and extremely competent throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and the workmanship was excellent - all delivered at a very competitive price! Will be my first choice for any future building/landscaping work and I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

We engaged Phil Brough to lay down terraces and paths to improve our back garden and also to rebuild a wall along a boundary where the neighbour's ground is higher than ours. Wall is a misnomer - more like a random pile of stones, bricks, blocks etc. All was done in natural stone with great precision, good taste and very solid ground preparation. We specified elliptical curves for some of the terrace edges and this was carried out with skill and patience. We then engaged PJB to renew paths and driveway in front of the house and lay down a parking area, the paths in natural stone slabs and the driveway and parking in block paving. Again, the preparation was exemplary - they even hired a 1-ton roller to compact the hardcore. A couple of peripheral problems arose - with a drain and some old fencing that a neighbour was complaining about - and Phil got these fixed very quickly. The total area covered is about 150 square metres plus 18 metres of stone-faced wall. Attendance of Phil's workers was very regular and notice of changes, deliveries etc was quite reliable.

PJB re-tarmacked and edged my driveway a couple of years ago and it looks as good today as the day it was completed, and I was very happy with the service. So, when I was looking to get a patio done in the garden I contacted Phil. The team finished the job this week and once again I'm very happy with their work. They've done a thorough job, both in the work below the surface and the attention to detail on what is visible. The team are very friendly and they left everything neat and tidy. I'm already discussing the next job with Phil.
