Phil and his lad's have transformed my front garden and drive. They are very well mannered that means a lot. Everyone comments how good it looks, fantastic job. Thanks you
Took a while to get started, we are in unprecedented times, but definitely worth the wait. Once they started, the work was thorough and carried on even on Saturdays in the rain. All the workers were friendly, polite, so hardworking, and aware of social distancing so it felt very safe. Our driveway looks lovely and we even got some bonus turf for our green bits. Phil obviously takes pride in doing a good job and it shows in the finished product. Highly recommended
We selected PJB based on their Trusted Trader rating. Phil and his Team are genuine, honest and hard working individuals. Our Project included the removal of an old shed and some of our hawthorn hedge to allow for the installation of new fencing and a base and patio area for our new Summerhouse. All the work was undertaken in a very professional, efficient and tidy manner and Phil and his Team kept us up-to-date with progress. We would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to employ the services of a reputable Contractor for any building/landscaping work. They did an incredible job!
I selected PJB based on their Trusted Trader rating and that they were local to me. I am so pleased I did! Although the job was fairly modest in scale Phil and Richard proved themselves professional, personable and extremely competent throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and the workmanship was excellent - all delivered at a very competitive price! Will be my first choice for any future building/landscaping work and I would heartily recommend them to anyone.
We engaged Phil Brough to lay down terraces and paths to improve our back garden and also to rebuild a wall along a boundary where the neighbour's ground is higher than ours. Wall is a misnomer - more like a random pile of stones, bricks, blocks etc. All was done in natural stone with great precision, good taste and very solid ground preparation. We specified elliptical curves for some of the terrace edges and this was carried out with skill and patience. We then engaged PJB to renew paths and driveway in front of the house and lay down a parking area, the paths in natural stone slabs and the driveway and parking in block paving. Again, the preparation was exemplary - they even hired a 1-ton roller to compact the hardcore. A couple of peripheral problems arose - with a drain and some old fencing that a neighbour was complaining about - and Phil got these fixed very quickly. The total area covered is about 150 square metres plus 18 metres of stone-faced wall. Attendance of Phil's workers was very regular and notice of changes, deliveries etc was quite reliable.
PJB re-tarmacked and edged my driveway a couple of years ago and it looks as good today as the day it was completed, and I was very happy with the service. So, when I was looking to get a patio done in the garden I contacted Phil. The team finished the job this week and once again I'm very happy with their work. They've done a thorough job, both in the work below the surface and the attention to detail on what is visible. The team are very friendly and they left everything neat and tidy. I'm already discussing the next job with Phil.
Phil Brough and his team transformed my front path and garden. The workmanship was excellent, they were efficient, worked well and got on with the job. The result was a very pleased customer.
Phil and his excellent team made such a good job of my front path and garden it has drawn many complements. They worked hard and used their time well I am extremely pleased with the result and would certainly recommend them.
An extremely tidy worker, who kept us informed throughout the job and took all the rubbish away leaving a clean site. The workmanship was excellent.
They offered friendly advice about solution options. Very professional service.
Would highly recommend Phil and his team. They've done a fantastic job of my driveway. They were very hardworking, happy to help with questions along the way and everything was done on time and at a great price. Will definitely use them again in the future.
PJB Projects completed a large sloped driveway and drainage for us recently. They were hard working, reliable and the quality of their work is excellent. I would happily recommend them.
Phil was professional and reliable. He's done an outstanding job of creating the patio I wanted. The two lads who worked with him were exceptionally hard workers. I have no hesitation in recommending PJB. Fabulous.
*Customer feedback*PJB Projects removed a damaged front garden wall and rebuilt a new one in same style. The wall included four pillars to hold a path gate and drive gate, price 3250. Started Nov 17 but the mortar on tops of the pillars completely crumbled and had to be rebuilt (April 18). Quality of pillar tops not as good as wall. Brick colour not good match for house. Didn't tidy up very well - neighbours actually came out and swilled road/pavement. Left insufficient gap on path gate pillar to install a proper latch. So bodged it. Overall a very disappointing experience which we have to look at every day.*Traders reply*The customer was very awkward through out the entire project and seemed to be very persistent as to when I would be starting. I quoted around August time and said that I am very busy and he wanted the work starting asap. I said the earliest I could get would be around end October, and that I would telephone roughly a week before to let him know. This was in the first week of November. He was very abrupt and said "You said that you would be here by October!" I was very reluctant to start the work with the attitude given, but I still did not want to let anyone down and also the bricks had been ordered (which i've had the blame for not matching) when the customer chose the bricks! The property is around 60 yrs old so as you can imagine the bricks on the house would be have been faded slightly. I brought new bricks which which was the best match. I left various samples and the customer picked the bricks and said yes these are fine. The pillar tops when built was in winter time when we had severe frost. I added adequate frost proof to the mortar mix and when finished the wall was covered with hessian sacks to prevent frost from getting in. When I came back to clean up all my hessian covers had been removed and consequently we now had frost damage to the joints. My covers mysteriously had been taken off, probably to be nosey inspecting the work. I still reluctantly came back like I said to rebuild the tops for free when it was not my fault. As for the gate latch this was done as a favour as there wasn't one on. Again the chap says "Oh thanks for that it never had one before, cheers". I wish i'd not done the job now as he's made me sound bad but you always get one I suppose and my previous other customers, which are hundreds of people, have all been happy with me and my work as all the other reviews clearly state.
