Iwan did a fantastic job fitting doors and architrave in our home. He is friendly, professional and worked hard. His pricing is fair and reasonable. We will use him again and have already started to recommend him to friends and family.
Iwan fitted 3 doors for us, and has done a very professional job, making sure everything was perfect before moving on to the next door. He worked a very long day, and we are extremely pleased with the end result.

I needed 6 doors hanging and all the architrave and skirting fitted in the hall and landing. Iwan did the work to a high standard. He was extremely clean and tidy, leaving no mess at the end of each day. Would highly recommend and will definitely get him in to do further work when I need it.
Absolutely recommend! 10/10. Hung 3 bedroom doors, created an understairs coat and shoe storage for us. Really friendly, cleaned away any mess and talked through each project, changed a shelf position for me which was tricky as it had already been screwed in! As I was working from home too Iwan was very courteous. We will use Iwan again as he felt part of our family circle by the time he left!

Iwan's work is exemplary. Courteous and professional, he made a fantastic job of my complex kitchen tiling task; I am so pleased with the finish. He is easy to work with and discuss options, makes recommendations, but will ultimately deliver what you as the customer asks with outstanding attention to detail. Such a kind gentleman too, I would thoroughly recommend him.
We have always been very happy with Iwan's work, he is our go-to joiner. He has laid our floors, tiled for us and moved stud walls. He definitely knows his trade and is very experienced. He is a nice bloke who you can ask for advice about the project but will do things how you ask him to. I have already recommended him to our friends and would recommend him without reservation to anyone else.

Ewan James was recommended to me by my daughter after he completed work for her. I asked Ewan to create bookcase and cupboards for me in my new extension. Ewan came round measured up and provided a quote which I was satisfied with. He created the work offsite and installed the work after only measuring twice. The bookcases and cupboards are a perfect fit, his work is exemplary and I am delighted with the outcome. He is a very logical and precise worker cleans up as he goes along and consults when required on all aspects. A great job from a very personable craftsman.
We recently had Iwan round to fit the oak worktops, cornice and cupboard handles for our new kitchen. He showed up when he said he would and was always very responsive by phone and email. All the work he completed is perfect and his attention to detail was amazing. He would always raise any issues with us and give us various options so we could make a decision, and left the place clean and tidy. He also had to work round an electrician in the kitchen at the same time which I'm sure made his job harder, but he had no complaints and was a pleasure to have in the house. Iwan's price was fair and well worth it - we won't hesitate to use him for any joinery jobs in the future and would recommend him to anyone.

Iwan fitted lovely wooden doors and windows that were made by Brinard Joinery, a contact of his. It was an excellent recommendation, as they looked amazing. Iwan worked hard in pretty awful weather and has done a brilliant job, much admired by our neighbours. He was very reliable and completed the job in the time he predicted. He's a real craftsman, and I've asked him to do some other joinery jobs next year.

Iwan James Joinery managed the manufacture and supply of replacement doors / windows at our house in Ashover, Chesterfield. It was a pleasure to deal with someone who takes a great deal of pride in the workmanship he provides. The doors /windows are in a property built in 1700, so it was important that the replacements were 'like for like'. Whilst he was working on the door / window replacement, I asked if he could help with problems we have with gutters and fascia's. He has helped with advice and recommendations to rectify long standing problems and will fit new gutters, brackets and boards. I would 100% recommend Iwan to other people and will use him for any work we have at our home. He is also a very nice gentleman.
We changed the whole of our downstairs door configuration including changing some fixed panels for new doors. Iwan did us an excellent job including successfully overcoming some logistical problems that the job threw up. We would recommend him as a man of integrity, ability and trust.
Recently, Iwan completed making some bespoke under stair storage cupboards for us. From the initial design, through to completion, he fully comprehended the brief and made valuable suggestions and design modifications throughout the process. The result is truly superb and both my wife and I are genuinely delighted, as the outcome has far exceeded our expectations. Iwan is a very accomplished craftsman and his attention to detail was most impressive. We felt that the price was fair for such a project and we would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending his services to future, potential customers.

Iwan fitted a wooden worktop onto our kitchen units. He worked steadily and efficiently - I was especially impressed with the pride he took in his work, and how he identified how a lack of thoroughness in fitting the original unit could lead to his workmanship being compromised. Iwan disassembled some of the unit - making it right before he cut and fitted the worktop into place - did this without charging extra. Highly recommended!

Iwan has removed and replaced our worktops, wall and floor tiles and arranged a plumber to install new sink taps and gas hob. His standard of work is outstanding and attention to detail is second to none. I cannot praise him highly enough for the care he has taken to get everything just right including a courtesy visit a few days later to make sure we were happy with everything. My old kitchen looks like new again thanks to his skill. I will most definitely be contacting Iwan again next time we need some work doing and I'll happily recommend him to my family and friends. He's a lovely man and really knows his trade. A rare find!

Iwan has just repaired and erected an Amdega cedar wood summerhouse for me. It was a very fiddly job being a second hand ebay purchase, so it came with no instructions or fixings and several pieces were missing or rotten. It was hexagonal too so not straightforward. I thought it would end up lying in pieces on the driveway for years as it was such a mess. However, Iwan wasn't phased by the task. Within a week of my making the initial enquiry he'd started work. I now have a wonderful summerhouse that's as good as new, and I'm delighted. Iwan was very professional, friendly and reliable and his pricing was excellent. He took real pride in his work and didn't just say "that'll do". He made sure everything was perfect. I can't recommend him highly enough. It' s such a relief to find someone you can rely on.
Punctual, polite and professional. We used Iwan to fit a work surface in our utility room. It's an odd shape with some odd angles, but Iwan took it in his stride and did a perfect job. If you are looking for a kitchen fitter, stop right here. We found it was a big decision to make. However in Iwan James we found a friendly, reliable man who takes pride in his work and is diligent and patient and meticulous to detail. He turns up every day on time with a smile. He is a craftsman and has made a wonderful job of creating our B&Q kitchen from designer plans. He has shaped the kitchen down to the very last detail, tiled the walls and floor and liaised with electricians, plumbers and plasterers. We can not recommend him highly enough and we have asked Iwan to do other jobs for us. Thank you so much Iwan James please contact him - he came straight back to us, and came to see us the very next day, our job was started within a month and finished in two weeks at an easy pace.

Iwan replaced some of our upstairs flooring and did a very professional and good job.
Iwan has just painted the exterior of our park home, he also pointed some bricks, cleaned out the gutters and recently fitted a new door to our garage. His work ethic is excellent and he did a brilliant job. He also has a pleasant personality and we can't recommend him high enough. We shall definitely be using him again for other work.
