I am an honest, friendly and reliable carpenter/joiner providing a quality local service. Established since 1994. Work undertaken; interior and exterior doors, gates, windows, flooring, kitchens, stair parts, shelving, cupboards, loft hatches, box in pipes, skirting, architraves, repair work etc. No job to small. James has recently replaced the internal doors in my bungalow. From start to finish his service has been excellent. A friendly, professional, tidy, competent and hard working individual who I would highly recommend to anyone and would not hesitate to use again.

James did an amazing job boxing in central heating pipes that involved going through coving, dado rails and around corners. The finished work blends in perfectly with the house and looks like its always been there. He turned up on time, worked hard and was very respectful and professional. I will certainly contact James if I need carpentry/joinery work in the future and have no hesitation recommending him to others.
James was reliable, turned up and did the work when he said he would at the price agreed. We had cupboards built into eaves in a bedroom and James made the best use of the space and did an excellent job. Very happy.
James removed old and fitted new doors throughout my house, including trimming and adding a walk-in cupboard door and architrave. I was hugely impressed by James' work ethic and flexibility to work around my availability. He was also instrumental in recommending a finish handles, etc. that would work well. My house was left clean and tidy, and James showed care and thoughtfulness to my pets whilst working. I would have no hesitation in recommending James. 10/10
We cannot recommend James enough. From the initial enquiry and quote, James was invaluable in advising us on the best door and hardware brands. James and Andy fitted a total of 15 doors for us, which included replacing two external doors with internal ones, and sliding doors with French doors. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail have completely transformed our home. They are very professional, friendly, reliable and tidy tradesmen who we would happily have back for any future work.
James has done an EXCELLENT job fitting internal doors. Right from the start always great communication when he'll be able to start. Turns up on time so reliable and he's such a clean and tidy worker, perfectionist James is polite, reliable, and respects your home. We found James on this website and we saw he was local. We couldn't be happier with his work which was replacing staircase board for spindles and skirting. He gave a fair price for work to be done and kept the area tidy. I would recommend his services and I would use again for any work needed.

James did a fantastic job of replacing old floor boards on our landing. In addition he was able to tighten up the stairs themselves as creaking was a problem. A very thorough job, we will use James in the future.

Work completed to a high standard, got on with the job in hand and cleared up after himself. We had a quote from James for an alteration to our landing and boarding the floor in the back bedroom also fitting skirting boards and architrave on the landing and back bedroom, fitting a door in the back bedroom and building a cupboard and shelves in the back bedroom. The quote was competitive so we went ahead with the work. The job completed by James and Andy was excellent and to the highest standard, they are real craftsmen and perfectionists and my wife and I are extremely happy with the finished job. It feels like a different house! If you need a joinery job doing give James a call, he and Andy are wizards with wood! and you will not be disappointed. We contacted James and from the first point of contact he kept to all the appointments from quotations right through to finishing the job. Top class workmanship . Replace rotting floor boards in my lounge fully satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to use him a gain.
James has done a great job, he worked in a confined cellar space to replace rotten joists and floorboards under a Minton tiled hall floor. Would highly recommend, excellent service from start to finish.
