Dealt with many trades over the years, but Tom stands out. We had solar panels fitted and he even sorted out the roof work that we needed doing. No need for extra scaffolding later. There are 4 panels on the house and 4 on the garage. Joined by a cable under a concrete drive. He is knowledgeable, polite, patient and very fussy about how he does things. A pleasure to deal with, as we must have exhausted every possible panel layout for maximum benefit. A friend ex building surveyor saw his work, and is now due to have his solar panels installed by Tom.
Of all the tradesmen we invited into our home over the years Tom has been the most outstanding. Endlessly understanding and patient and a brilliant project manager, he is also honest and kind and cares about his work a great deal. Without hesitation we highly recommend Toms company Watson Electrical and Tom himself.
I needed a replacement FIT meter. The work was carried out quickly, efficiently and as per the quote. Constructive, friendly advice was also given and I would recommend Tom Watson to anyone requiring electrical and associated work.
We're Tom Watson's first Solar PV installation of 2023 - completed in less than 2 weeks which included some quite inclement weather rendering roof work impossible. We engaged only with local suppliers in the process of obtaining quotes. Tom provided lots of relevant information in a very timely manner. When we were close to making our final decision he visited us to talk through any questions and concerns we had - he is an excellent communicator, explained things well and ensured we had a full understanding. Tom managed to source the inverter and batteries quite quickly, so he was able to start in early January. He is very careful and thorough in his work and at all times wanted to provide us with the best result, reflected also in his choice of sub-contractors - scaffolders and roofers - both excellent teams. He is very enthusiastic about Solar PV, was very keen to explain progress throughout the project and really takes pride in his work. Plus - he's a nice chap !Our set-up - 16 x Panels, 8 on each of East and West aspects, inverter and 2 x batteries .We have no hesitation in recommending Tom for Solar PV Projects.
Tom was one of the most professional tradesmen we have employed. Supplied and fitted a replacement solar panel inverter in our roof space. Not the most pleasant of workspaces, but worked efficiently and without any fuss. I would not hesitate to use his services again in the future.
We are absolutely thrilled with Watson Electrical's work. From start to finish, Tom has been wonderfully efficient, professional, organised and communicated everything clearly. Solar Panel installation was a totally new concept so it seemed quite daunting at first but Tom took time to listen to us and explained the process. Several years ago Tom did a house rewire for our son and daughter-in-law with many bespoke requests and smart tech. We met him then and were impressed by his quality of work, professionalism, enthusiasm and "can do" attitude. He became their "go to" electrician so we weren't surprised when they decided to have integrated solar panels and a much needed new roof with Tom's company doing the work. We saw the proposal he had done and became interested. Tom, as ever, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, answering questions and advising how to get the best from our specific roof layout, orientation, etc. Incredibly reliable and friendly Tom and crew did an amazing job fitting the panels, re- tiling the roof and fixing any issues that arose. From asking for a quote to completion Tom constantly kept us updated. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Watson Electrical and Construction Services Ltd. We found them to be honest, very trustworthy, exceptionally knowledgeable and diligent. We feel like valued customers as the level of after-sales service is priceless with Tom continuing to answer any questions as we get to grips with using our new set up. We now have an excellent solar installation and honestly couldn't be more pleased.
Had solar panels installed and the roof replaced at the same time. We got a very thorough quote beforehand and all work completed in less than 3 weeks for a pretty big roof. Our energy bill is now going down instead of up. Very pleased with the work and a 10 year guarantee included. Lovely blokes. Having seen the work family and friends are now having the same done.

Used Watson Electrical to upgrade the power supply to my garage as the existing was insufficient to power an EV charger in preparation for delivery of an electrical vehicle. Detailed quote was accurate and similar to others who quoted. Was keen to use a local contractor and Tom was honest, gave good advice and assurance. The work was carried out when planned and all work was to a good standard and everything cleared up on completion. Would definitely recommend and will use again for future works.

I employed Watson Electrical to do some wiring work from the boiler in the garage up to the fuse box. The wiring was in a dodgy state and the fuse box was old and needed replacing. Tom, a nice, friendly guy, did an amazing neat, tidy job. All new wiring and a new, improved fuse box. Very satisfied indeed.
Work is thorough, efficient and well carried out. They always clean up after themselves and are very pleasant. I have used them for many years, and they always respond quickly to my requests. Recently I rang in the morning, and they came that afternoon. They have been especially solicitous when I lost my sight, investigating and installing lighting to help me. I thoroughly recommend them.
Tom, assisted by his fully qualified colleague, was engaged to run internal and external power and security, plus interior lighting from our house to an outside workshop building. All works were carried out to a high professional standard. Tom and colleague Carl were friendly answering any questions, carrying out the works exactly as specified. This is the second time I have used Watson Electrical - an electrical refit and part rewire for a 3 bed semi and a full rewire for a 3 bed bungalow with lots of extras. Everything is specified, you know what you are getting and what you are paying, they turn up when they say they will and do a good job in a good time frame. I will definitely use again on another refurbishment in the Chesterfield area. Importantly I didn't feel condescended to, nor did they try to blind me with science or regulations, happy to explain everything and provide good advice to improve the end result. The electricians were excellent. They worked long hours to get the work completed quickly, even the evening before a Bank Holiday; cleaned up carefully after each session; turned up on the pre- arranged dates and were extremely polite and helpful when contacted by telephone. They worked all day, rarely taking breaks and were flexible and trustworthy. I will definitely be using them again for future work, so I hope not too many people read this so I can book them!
