*Customer Feedback* Beware of their hidden extras. The representative won't discuss that with you. Side posts left and right are hidden extras. When pulled up about it l was patronised i.e. 'You should've looked at the brochures small print closely.'Their brochure shows side posts on every one of their gates. I said, 'Isn't it your representative who must clarify that the side posts' are extras.' I felt lost for words, hence this feedback. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone l know. Regards from a family of unhappy customers. *Traders Reply* “It was myself who did the onsite quote and, at the time, I spoke to a gentleman at the property and advised that posts would not be needed as there were 2 metal posts already at the property, the gentleman said this was ok and I left them with a quote for gates and installation. On installation, our 2 installers asked the customer if she would like them to “rub down and hand paint the existing posts” to which the customer replied she would, they did this, the customer said she was happy and paid the installers. After the installation, the customer then contacted to us regarding us not installing new posts, I advised we would not do this if there were existing posts that were solid as this would be an extra amount that we would not charge a customer unnecessarily but that we would happily change the posts if required for the extra amount I would have quoted at the initial contact. The customer believed that, as there are posts shown in our drawings, that these are included, however we do state that posts & installation are extras. We are sorry that the customer is unhappy, as we are very proud of our reputation and would happily supply and install posts for the extra charge, as initially offered.”

The team made a bespoke gate for a tricky space. We were so pleased with the gate that we then arranged for some railings to be fitted too. A superb service from start to finish. Jamie in the office was always helpful and cheerful. Rachel and Gary provided excellent advice and on-the-spot quotes. The gate and railings are high quality and look fantastic. The fitting team were efficient, friendly and hard-working. Highly recommended. Would definitely use again.

From our first visit from The Gate Maker we were confident that we would get exactly what we needed. The man who called was very knowledgeable and totally understood our requirements. The staff who carried out the work were friendly and polite. They did an excellent job and we are absolutely delighted with the result.

We had two sets of gates made for our property, iron gates for the front of the drive, and steel and wood composite gates for the gates into the back of the property. The service throughout was excellent, and given the testing times of Covid, particularly impressive. Both sets designed, fitted and in place in time for Christmas. Dead chuffed with them. We would highly recommend them.

Easy to deal with - quick to respond and quote, good product. The installation was good despite the previous very old gate installation which was taken out, required deep digging and all the mess removed and the site cleaned up, installers were polite and tidy and the end product excellent.

From the start of making contact with The Gatemaker Team at Ripley, every activity with them was completed very professionally throughout. They were patient in waiting for a prolonged start date due to our building work, kept in communication with us and were able to recommend a handrail solution to our problem. Josh and Mandy installed our handrails in a polite and efficient manner and checked our required height for each aspect of the handrail to ensure our satisfaction. A great team. Overall an excellent job of a high quality product, excellent value for money completed by a very organised and professional company. I highly recommend them.

Brilliant job in repairing my gate, good friendly service by the engineer and a well organised business communication with customers, would recommend to anyone requiring this service.

Gates of required unequal width and depth were installed in a very difficult situation with slopes in different directions. The experienced and pleasant fitters made several visits including a trial fitting and ultimately achieved a perfect installation. The gates are very substantial and well finished made of powder coated steel with composite boards and appear to be perfect in all respects. Very satisfied.

The Gatemaker did an excellent job of repairing and refurbishing our garden gates which are very old, very big and were in a poor state. We are extremely happy with the work they have done - the gates look beautiful and now hang level as well. They really did exceed our expectations.

From start to finish it was a seamless process. The quote was very reasonable. The quality of the gates was excellent. When I needed to ring up, everyone was very helpful.
