Our second home in Bakewell required a complete renovation. As our primary home was a two hour drive away, we needed a company we could trust to manage a complex project over many months, keeping communication lines constantly open and dealing efficiently with any day to day problems. OakenStone were already renovating a neighbouring cottage, and an initial site meeting persuaded us they had the resources and ideas to make a success of our project. We also needed a company with innovative ideas to maximize space utilization and maintain as many of the original features of the cottage as possible. The project benefitted from a combined and integrated approach to design, planning and build, and from having the same team of tradesmen working on it from beginning to end. We were kept updated through site meetings, email exchanges, phone calls and via the company's online portal. The finished product exceeded our already high expectations, and was delivered within initial estimated costs. We would, without hesitation, recommend OakenStone to others.
