Derbyshire Dales Electrical Services Ltd worked on the renovation my Buxton property from March to October 2025 which involved demolition and rebuilding of a medium size two storey extension containing a kitchen and bathrooms. They ensured that the electrical supply was isolated and safe for other contractors to work on whilst ensuring they could recharge tools, have lighting, and enabling basic food & drink facilities. Liaising with the principal contractor, they planned and installed the electrics of the replacement building, offering advice and options. Their ability to work part days ensured their work was fully integrated with the wider construction team, and I was able to bring forward a second project in the form of a full rewire of the main house that they completed efficiently. Despite the major building work at the rear of the premises, Paul and George worked cleanly and safely, with all necessary certifications supplied promptly. Electrical facilities other than power and light included an electric shower, bathroom extractor fans and illuminated mirrors, dual fuel towel radiators, fire and smoke detectors, bidet seats, oven extractor, ovens, freezers and fridges, dishwasher, washing machine, external lighting and power, security cameras, and cabling up for an EV charging point.

We are very happy with the work done by Paul and George. It was a fiddly, time-consuming job, which they did to a very high standard, leaving everything very neat and tidy. Paul took the time to explain what he was doing and to offer us a range of options, giving us very helpful advice. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

Paul came to do an electrical inspection on my late father's house, where the wiring was 50 years old. From the start he explained fully the jobs both needing doing and that would be recommended to bring the house up to modern regulations. He did a very thorough inspection of the house and grounds, carried out lots of remedial and improvement work and even got the pond pump wired and working again after over 10 years of it not functioning! Along the way there were several very big challenges and Paul didn't stop got them all sorted. Very friendly service, very happy to explain in non-electrician terms what he was doing or needed to do, a very fair price for a lot of work and Paul was absolutely determined to get everything not just to pass the test but modernised where it would be of benefit too. I thoroughly recommend Paul for any electrical work and will certainly use him again and recommend him to others!

We've recently had Paul do the wiring for our new kitchen extension after being let down last minute by a previous electrician. Paul was the total opposite - he came the same day I phoned him to provide a quote, and started work the next day. He completely understood our urgency given the kitchen was about to be delivered and managed the work amazingly quickly. Despite the tight timeframe, Paul still suggested improvements for our lights and took a lot of care to maximise the light and still ensure every thing was in line and symmetrical. We are really pleased with the outcome - his work is far neater than previous electricians we have used. Paul and George showed up when they were supposed to and left everything finished and immaculate. We threw quite a lot of extra stuff their way but they had no complaints - just a positive and proactive attitude towards everything. They were also very flexible to work around the other tradesman who were in and out at the time. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone and we would be reluctant to use anyone else in the future.

This was a very complicated rewire where we needed to continue living in the bungalow we have recently moved into while renovation takes place Paul was infinitely patient and flexible with us, dealing cheerfully with the unexpected and tight corners in the loft or under the floor boards! He came up with suggestions we hadn't thought of while always checking out with us what our preferences were before going ahead. We are very pleased with the results, Paul is a pleasure to have around and we would always recommend his work to anyone else needing a good electrician at a reasonable price.
