We needed two rose bushes moving to another part of the garden. My husband is disabled and unable to garden now. We chose Bert for the job. He came at the appointed time and set about with the job. He is a very pleasant person and did the job to our satisfaction. The price for the job was very fair. Unfortunately I had to go out while he was working and didn't have chance to tell him what a good job he had done. The garden was left very tidy and I could not tell where the roses had been. Working in sub zero temp, Bert built a 30m dry stone wall with added fence and posts. Finding additional stone and building supplies. A brilliant job well done, looking forward to him coming back in a couple of weeks to work his magic on another wall and patio. Highly recommended.

Bert was recommended to us when we were renovating our property. The back garden had not been touched for years and was like a jungle he came and had a look at it and sorted it out with no problem and charged a fair price. Bert Frith is an expert dry stone waller. I have seen that he has won local Derbyshire dry stone walling competitions and it shows in the quality of his work! He also meets the deadlines he quotes which is both great for the wallet and when you need a wall or patio ready for a specific date or event. Bert did several jobs including stone walling. All very satisfactory. He came when he said he would but always kept me informed if delayed for any reason. He made no false promises and I had to wait a little while for him to fit me in. He was well worth waiting for. A good reliable worker. I would definitely use him again.

Bert has done several jobs for me, all of which have been completed to a remarkably high standard. He is very friendly and polite. He is a lovely, thoughtful family man. An exceptionally hard worker who always turns up for work even in the pouring rain. He even went to my neighbours to check they were okay with the work being done and to ensure no disruption. I am particularly pleased with my dry stone wall he crafted for me at the front of my house and then the slab laying of Indian Stone for my patio and tailor made steps. However, he is equally as happy to come and do general garden maintenance for me, like the regular cutting of my lawn and general garden tidying. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We approached Bert on behalf of my father-in-law who was struggling to cope with his large garden, which is his pride and joy. We needed the garden 'putting to bed' for the winter. Bert was responsive to our inquiries and a pleasure to deal with. He turned up when he said he would, worked hard and did an excellent job, charging what he quoted. The fact that my father-in-law, whose garden has always been beautiful and immaculate, wants Bert to continue next year tells you all you need to know.
