About Hooves and Paws Pet and Equine Services
My name is Jackie Howe and my business, Hooves and Paws Pet and Equine Services, has been trading since 1st February 2020. I offer dog walking, horse care and pet visit services within Chesterfield and surrounding areas. All animals in my care are treated with kindness, just as my own pets are. I have my Dog First Aid Emergency Canine Care certificate in case any medical emergencies arise. I always carry a small first aid kit with me on walks and a more well stocked one in my van. Dogs travel separately in my van in a secure crate system, however, dogs from the same household can sometimes share a larger crate. I walk no more than 5 dogs at any one time, however, my insurance does cover me to walk up to 6 dogs. I sometimes have a volunteer work with me if I am introducing new dogs into a pack. They are also insured on my insurance. I am on social media sites and advertising sites where you can view my many 5 star customer reviews. I have decided to join the Trusted Trader scheme because my line of work isn't currently regulated and so this is a way for potential customers to know that I am a legitimate business with the relevant documentation and insurances in place to keep dogs safe in my care and to give my customers peace of mind.

Would recommend Jackie very highly. She come to look after our elderly cat Minstrel when we are away and keeps in regular touch with us with lovely videos. It's nice to know he is in safe hand with Jackie.
Jackie was absolutely amazing with our 2 boy kitties this is the fist time we have left them for a week and I could see from the pictures/videos Jackie sent each morning they were happy and content with Jackie's company. We had zero accidents to come home to which I think is a testimony to Jackie's care, as we have done for shorter periods of time before. We will absolutely look to use Jackie again and recommend her services to anybody. You can really see just how much she cares and its more than just a job.
Jackie has looked after our pets while we were away on two occasions now. She's excellent, we really appreciated the time she took to keep them safe, fed and happy while we were away. Her communication is excellent too, we'd highly recommend her.
I've been booking Hooves and Paws for 2 years to feed and water my wild garden hedgehogs and other wildlife when I'm away. She also cleans out their incredibly dirty feeding boxes when it's needed! Reliable, trustworthy, a super service, great value and it gives me peace of mind knowing they are looked after and that my property is checked in on too. I highly recommend Jackie!
I have a very particular Bengal Cat whom I needed to provide care for in her home environment whilst I took a holiday, having used Jackie in the past to care for my previous cat I had no problems in trusting her to care for my Bengal, Jackie took the time to bond and play with my cat during the time I was away, sending me photos and videos, and importantly providing affection, care and play for my cat. I will definitely use her again in the future.
First time using Jackie for looking after our 4 cats whilst on holiday. They all loved her while she gave professional care for them all with plenty of pictures and messages putting our minds at rest while far away. Definitely be using her again in the future. A star service.
Jackie visited my 11 year-old cat daily for 3 weeks, during our summer holiday. Jackie is so very caring and they fell in love with each other immediately. Videos and photos were posted to me almost daily. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her 1st class service for the needs of any animal lovers.
Jackie has been walking my dog Penny for the past 3 months. Penny loves her group walks and enjoyed running around with her doggie friends. Jackie is very knowledgeable and trustworthy and reliable.

We have used Hooves and Paws Pet for our little dog Molly. Jackie is very thoughtful and caring and I know that Molly was looked after and kept safe on all her walks. On all occasions Jackie had Molly's best interest at heart - when it was very hot outside Jackie tailored the visit to keep Molly cool and comfortable by staying in the garden and on so many more occasions. I have to mention that our little dog disliked walking. Jackie never gave up on Molly and took the time with her and slowly slowly Molly became so much better at walking. I cannot recommend Hooves and Paws Pets enough. Molly was and still is the best judge … always happy and wagging her tail when seeing Jackie and bouncing with excitement.
Jackie runs a fantastic business and I'd be lost without her. If you are looking for a trustworthy dog walker then you've just found the right person! Jackie is full of knowledge and looks after your dogs like her own.
Jackie provides a great service, always reliable, posts videos on Facebook showing your dog out for it's walks playing with the other dogs in the group. Most of all the dogs love her. Would definitely recommend Jackie to friends and family.
I could not work if it wasn't for the amazing service Jackie provides, I know my Bob loves his group walks with her and the fact we can see what sort of time they have had on videos posted on social media is really reassuring and comforting, fab service and really good value for money.
Absolutely amazing lady. She looked after my cats for 5 days while we went on holiday. She gave me the peace of mind I needed. Knowing my cats would be looked after. She even came twice a day like we asked due to having 2 kittens who needed feeding twice a day. She also cleaned the litter trays. Highly recommend her and will be using her again when we go on holiday. Thank you ever so much xx
Jackie is absolutely amazing, we've used her for over a year now. I have 2 boy dogs that are extremely energetic and enjoy stealing her treats, but she loves them like her own and we would be lost without her.
