Ollie, who runs Decorative Solutions, is reliable, trustworthy and a pleasure to have around. He has worked for us before providing really good results in a difficult old building. We would thoroughly recommend him.

Ollie painted our hall, landing and stairs as well as treating 12 internal doors with Osmo. Ollie was terrific and did an absolutely fantastic job for us. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the painting and decorating trade and gave excellent advice. He always responded quickly to any queries we had about which products were the best to use. I have employed many decorating companies through my job and Ollie is one of the best. His workmanship was first class. He is extremely professional. He ensured that carpets etc were well protected and ensured that at the end of each day the area he was working on was left in a clean and accessible state. He told us each day what he intended to do so we could work round him. In addition to being great at his job he is also a really nice guy and it was a pleasure having him round the house. Ollie Aslam was engaged to repaint the front exterior of my house, which had become dull, weathered, and generally in need of revitalization. Work Undertaken: surface preparation, application of high-quality exterior paint in the selected colour scheme, careful attention to detail around trims, windows, and doors, full clean-up and disposal of materials post-completion. The transformation was immediate and striking. What was once a tired and uninspiring façade is now bright, clean, and visually appealing. Ollie's work has significantly improved the overall appearance of the house, creating a refreshed and welcoming exterior. Ollie demonstrated exceptional professionalism throughout the project. He maintained a clean and organised workspace, delivering work to a very high standard. I am thoroughly pleased with the work carried out by Ollie. His skill and dedication to his craft are evident in the final result. I would not hesitate to recommend him. to others seeking quality exterior painting services.

This is the third time I've used Decorative Solutions and do exactly what is on the tin. Ollie is the most pleasant person you could meet. Very helpful and efficient and very reliable. Very happy to leave him alone in the house as he is so upfront. Would not use anyone else in the future.

We have used Ollie many times and each time we have been very impressed with the quality of his workmanship and the time and care he devotes to all of his work. He is quite probably the tidiest worker we have ever had, leaving no trace of any mess whatsoever it's like he's never been there apart from the quality finish of course! We have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Ollie to anyone and he will be returning to us again in due course to redecorate further rooms in the future.

*Customer Feedback* We chose decorating solutions due to the excellent reviews and when we meet him he seemed to be very nice and looked professional. Both of these things turned out to be false. After he had completed the first room and moved onto our second room we discovered a serious issue. The paint work applied to our woodwork was not applied correctly and it just came away easily by using your fingernail or similar. It turned out that he had not carried out the correct preparation needed for the paint to adhere to the existing paint. He agreed to redo the room again free of charge. When he came back to put right his faulty workmanship things went downhill further still. His answer to putting his work right was to sand down the faulty paint work with wet and dry paper. This process did not remove the peeling paint and he was going to apply a sealing coat before applying a new paint. This was totally nonsense as this faulty paint was still in place. You cannot trust this trusted trader to do even the basic requirements of his trade. Avoid is my advice. *Traders Reply* Thank you for your feedback Mr Hill and sorry to hear that you feel the service provided did not meet your expectations. As a long-established decorating company with 40+ years experience and a record of five-star reviews, we take great pride in the quality of our work and the client's satisfaction. As you are aware, our lead decorator became ill but despite this they returned for an additional day. However, they were asked to leave site (for reasons known only to you) and therefore no opportunity to fully address and resolve the issue you highlighted. Unsure of the meaning 'things went downhill further still' as there is no explanation. Had we been able to complete the job as originally planned, concerns would have been identified and corrected during the course of our usual process. A follow up team was sent, but due to the uncomfortable atmosphere and your lack of willingness to engage with their professional advice, they felt unable to complete the final stages of the job, including a full tidy up. We understand your frustration, and we regret that there was no opportunity to resolve matters directly before you chose to leave negative reviews across multiple platforms. Whilst we stand by the professionalism of our team, we respect your decision and wish you the best of luck in finding a tradesperson who can meet your expectations going forward.

Ollie completed an outstanding job , decorating a number of rooms from receiving the quote to finishing the job in a very professional manner.

Ollie was very pleasant to work with and did an excellent job. We needed four rooms and a large entrance hall stairs and landing redecorating to a rather tight timescale and while still using the premises. Ollie worked with us and around our shift pattern to achieve a very high standard. Highly recommended.

Ollie has just finished repainting our hall, stairs and landing, downstairs cloakroom and en-suite ceiling. We have used Ollie a number of times now and on every occasion his preparation and attention to detail has been meticulous. He works solidly for 8 hours, with only a short break for lunch. He cleans up as he goes and even brings his own Henry hoover! He is always willing to advise on different colour combinations and often suggests things that you may not have thought of yourself, whilst always respecting your wishes. When the job is complete it is always of the highest standard and because of the thoroughness of his cleaning there is no trace that he has even been apart of course from the quality finish. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Ollie to anyone and we have even told him he is not allowed to retire!

If ever you needed a good fair and reliable decorative job doing this is the person to use. From the very start he has been honest, reliable and very accommodating with our wishes and giving the very best advice on our choices without influencing our proposals. Overall he is not going to be the cheapest but then again, who wants the cheapest looking job - not us - but he will be one of the best. His careful thoughtful attitude diligence and honesty will give you a great experience. We will definitely use him again and again. P.S. he has a liking for good tea.

Ollie decorated my stairs, painted it through out and my banister treated with osmo, prompt in the morning worked a full day never stopped very calm with his approach to the job I am very pleased with the whole job start to finish I would definitely recommend Ollie and will be having him back to do more decorating.

Ollie is clearly a master decorator. My room was not an easy one to decorate; in particular, one wall was double height, with 2 niches, and this was to be papered. The result was absolutely immaculate. Ollie's meticulous preparation ensured no marks/damage to the room and he left the room just as he found it….except for newly- decorated walls and woodwork! Strongly recommended.
